To better protect the identities of students, Florida State University has started to transition away from the use of the Social Security number (SSN) as a student identifier. Effective immediately, students should use their Florida State University security number (FSUSN) when submitting requests for transactions to Student Financial Services.
Current students have already been assigned an FSUSN. Note that this number is private; do not share, post, or display it in public. To access your FSUSN, please follow the directions below:
1. Go to https://fsuid.fsu.edu/fsusn/.
2. Provide required information in order to verify your identity.
3. Click Submit.
While the FSUSN will be your primary identifier for interactions with the University, you may have to provide your SSN when completing employment papers, tax documents, or other financial materials
Now available under "Secure Apps" in Blackboard, students can access a detailed record of tuition and fees, financial aid disbursement and tuition payment history with the new Online Account Statement!
The Office of Student Financial Services now offers important financial information to family members and other designated parties through an online authorization process. Federal guidelines restrict access to financial records without student consent but students may now authorize the release of financial information. This feature will allow family members to view their student’s Account Statement and pay tuition and fees online. If a student would like another person to have access to this information, they will need to complete authorization at Parent/Third-Party Access.
All fees currently owed to the university can be accessed and paid through fees.fsu.edu. Current students will be prompted to log-in to Blackboard. Non-credit students will use their SSN as their identification number, in order to make payments. Online payments accepted by Florida State University include VISA, American Express, Mastercard, Discover, FSU Card, and Electronic Check.
